These birds look stunning in the spring, so I recently went over to Pennington to find some. The numbers of birds coming into the feeding station were much lower than the winter but still enough to keep the shutter finger well exercised.
Not forgetting the female of course
but the shot I was really after was the male chewing on some new spring growth
